10月20日，体育新闻传来消息，《足球报》披露，河北新式足球学院的主教练沈祥福向年轻队员们传授了他的足球生涯经验，强调足球发展之路并无捷径可寻。
At an age slightly younger than you all, I found myself in an era devoid of a local team. From a tender age, I would eagerly attend matches of the workers' team. I would retrieve the balls behind the goalposts and take shots, feeling immense joy upon doing so, all without any formal instruction. It wasn't until I was in elementary school that my passion for the game truly blossomed. Entering the first grade, I joined a school with a sports team that would profoundly alter my life. I was incredibly fortunate that on my very first day at this school, the announcements in the classroom declared the establishment of a football team. That afternoon, the school held tryouts, and I was elated. Up until the sixth grade, I had played independently, without any structured training. Upon joining the school team and making the cut, I would stay until dusk, unaware of hunger, for my love for football was immense. This love has defined the essence of football for me. It's the same with any sport; if you have a passion for it, others may find it tiring, but I never did, as football has been a lifelong companion. Yet, I feel incredibly blessed, having dedicated my entire life to doing what I love.
在漫长的人生旅程中，我心中怀揣着一份遗憾与一份成就。遗憾在于，作为一名职业球员，我未曾踏入世界杯的赛场。然而，当我转变为教练，我有幸与米卢携手征战世界杯，这成为了我职业生涯中一段难忘的荣耀。人生在世，遗憾在所难免，但谁能少些遗憾呢？你们中的许多人，或许已感到身心疲惫，作为足球运动员，谁又能不经历这样的磨难呢？我们那一代人，在简陋的土场训练，饮食条件远不及你们，能吃到肉已属奢侈。若想成为人上人，超越他人，就必须吃得苦中苦，没有捷径可寻。孩子们，没有捷径可走。若想超越他人，你必须努力提升自己的技能。你的一次停球可能非常出色，但那意味着你必须增加触球的次数。任何成就都离不开认真的态度，不能是糊里糊涂、漫无目的地度过每一天，我们必须有所追求。
